Retro Reset to Launch in August

Housed in a converted bus, Chamber Members Retro Reset, bring the magic of vintage computing and gaming directly to schools, communities, and events, offering fun, hands-on experiences that spark curiosity and inspire young minds. From early home computers to classic consoles, it’s a chance for young people (aged 10-25yrs) to explore the technology that shaped our digital world.

Join them for their official launch on…

Sunday 31st August 2025 between 10am and Midday at Cuckoo Cafe in Horam

Come and be among the first to step aboard the Retro Reset bus, try out some classic games, chat with the team, and enjoy a great morning with fellow retro enthusiasts!

The bus is already operational and has completed workshops at Uckfield College and Heathfield Community College so far!

Le Marche Brochures – Available in Town NOW!!

Earlier today, Le Marche Chair Richard Ridley and Committee Member Kirsty Powell, wandered the streets of Heathfield to deliver lots of brochures for this Years ‘bigger than ever’ Street Market!!

If you are in the Town Centre, make sure you support the event by picking up a brochure from one of the many shops and cafes. It contains all the info you’ll need for the day!!

Lots of local businesses, including numerous Chamber Members, have taken an advertising space…so you never know, you may find a new company to use!!

Don’t forget that this is the 28th Year that Le Marche will be held, and this Year’s event will be on Bank Holiday Monday 25th August…entry is COMPLETELY FREE!!

Wealden Works – One Year In

⁣What a journey it’s been. From their beginnings as Heathfield Works in 2011, running sessions from a hired hall, to becoming Wealden Works with their own CIO status in 2017…they’ve certainly come a long way.⁣..

⁣Now they’re celebrating one full year in their very own centre…A space built to inspire, support and create real opportunities for the young people they work with.⁣..

⁣None of this would have been possible without the support of the local community and the belief shown in them by the Tunstall Jubilee Foundation.⁣..

⁣We’re all very proud of what they’ve built, and we’re even prouder of the young people who walk through their doors every day.⁣..

Cuckoo Line Gala – Heathfield Tunnel Opening!!

CUCKOO LINE GALA – HEATHFIELD TUNNEL!

We’re delighted to announce that following an inspection, risk assessments and insurance being put in place, Wealden District Council has given the Spa Valley Railway the green light to open Heathfield Tunnel during our Cuckoo Line Gala!

An enormous amount of work has taken place behind the scenes to make this possible and to help support the Spa Valley Railway a small entry charge of £1 per adult and 50p per child will apply.
The tunnel will be open for people to walk through on Friday 13th, Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th June between 10:00 and 17:00 from the portal on Station Approach.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Spa Valley Railway would be delighted to hear from any willing volunteers that would like to help support the opening and be on hand at the tunnel between 09:30 and 17:30 each day open/close up, take payments and hand out information leaflets. After what feels like an absolute age, Two Tails Taproom return to their home at Union Church next weekend, 16th-18th May…and then every 3rd weekend until November…

As always, Colin and Deena will be serving only the finest local beers, wines and spirits plus a delicious selection of bar food and snacks from local independent producers…

They are dog and family friendly, with children welcome until 7pm…
