Whilst you may already be enjoying the popular networking opportunities offered by our breakfast meetings, we believe there is more we can do to support you. So, we launched a new initiative, ‘Member’s Exchange Meetings’ in March 2025.

We’re delighted to announce that the key topic for discussion will be Employment Law: What all businesses need to know. Kate Lawson (Element Law) is an experienced Employment Law specialist and will be sharing practical guidance on the forthcoming changes to employment law and what they will mean for employers and business owners. Whether you are considering recruiting your first employee, already manage a team or simply want to ensure your business remains compliant with changing legislation, this session will provide valuable insight and practical advice. Kate will discuss common employment issues, helping employers to understand their responsibilities, avoid costly mistakes and protect their business when managing staffing challenges. With significant employment law changes on the horizon, this is a presentation that every business owner should consider attending.
The structure will always be the same; they start at 17:30 and finish at 19:30 and are face-to-face meetings, held at State Hall, Station Road, Heathfield, TN21 8LD. There is no charge to attend the meetings, but you do have to be a Heathfield Chamber member to attend, as it is a perk of membership.

What are Member Exchange Meetings?
Bi-Monthly meetings exclusively for our members, allowing business owners to connect regularly. During these meetings, members can create a support network to discuss our daily challenges and share ideas and best practices. We aim to offer practical advice and guidance from industry experts on topics of your choice. We will also provide insights into current legislation that may impact you and your business and suggestions for operational improvements to help manage your business efficiently and drive growth that positively affects your bottom line. We have lots of ideas and plan to ask you for your opinions as to what topics to discuss.
