🐾✨ Meet Luna – The Youth Fairy’s Therapy Dog ✨🐾
Luna has officially passed her assessment and is now a fully qualified Therapy Dog! 💜
Luna is fully insured and can soon join Vicki in 1-1 therapy sessions when requested by clients, offering comfort, reassurance and a calming presence where appropriate.
This exciting achievement also means Luna is now available to accompany Vicki when delivering a range of wellbeing services in our local community, including:
🐶 Read to Dogs Programmes in schools, helping children build confidence, develop literacy skills and foster a love of reading.
🏫 Wellbeing visits to schools, colleges and universities.
❤️ Visits to care homes, hospitals and hospices.
🚓🚑 Wellbeing support visits for police, ambulance and other emergency service teams.
🏢 Wellbeing sessions for businesses, organisations and community groups.
Luna can also now be incorporated into the existing School Wellbeing Programme. Schools can choose to include Luna in selected sessions, adding another layer of engagement and emotional support for pupils when needed.
Therapy dogs can help reduce anxiety, encourage communication, improve emotional regulation and create a calm, welcoming environment. It’s so exciting to see the difference Luna will make as they begin this new chapter together.
