Poppie’s Cattery win top award!!

Chamber Members, Poppie’s Cattery, have been awarded the London & South East England Prestige Award for Best Cattery!
This award is a wonderful recognition of the love, care and dedication that goes into making Poppie’s Cattery a safe, happy and comfortable home away from home for every cat who stays with them.
Owner, Melanie Essex said “Winning this award is an incredible honour, and I’m excited to continue providing the highest standard of care for your beloved cats. They’ll be showing every minute of the match in the bar area.

With a 5pm kick-off, families are very welcome to come along and enjoy the game together…But parents should bear in mind that this is a live sporting event in a pub environment, so there may be adult language and plenty of passionate football fans cheering on the Three Lions!

Retro Reset at The Observatory Science Centre

Retro Reset is hitting the road!

We’re excited to announce that the Retro Reset bus will be spending the day at The Observatory Science Centre in Herstmonceux on 28th June 2026, from 10:00am to 5:00pm.

You’ll find them just outside the main entrance, showcasing everything that makes Retro Reset special. Step aboard their mobile computer museum and explore decades of computing, gaming, and digital history brought back to life.

This is a fantastic opportunity for:

✅ Supporters to see what we’ve been working on
✅ Schools and organisations to discover our workshops and outreach programmes

This session will cover the changes in these areas being introduced through the Employment Rights Act 2025 in the context of how this impacts what we do now.

12 November 2026:

The new landscape of Dismissal Protection: a seismic shift in 2027

This webinar will focus on what things will look like in relation to unfair dismissal protection from January 2027, in context of “now” vs “then” and the practical steps all employers should be taking to prepare.
