Tasty Treats in the High Street

OK so tomorrow evening, 29th August is the first Cuculo “Heathfield Happy Hour” event.

This is a great way unwind after a hard days work, have a few drinks and sample some of Cuculo’s legendary antipasto.

You start at Cuculo Deli, where you get a cocktail, your first antipasto and a map showing you where to get more of the same. Take a leisurely stroll around Heathfield visiting the participating shops and sampling more of Cinzia’s delightful food.

Tickets are just £10 from Cuculo Deli, the proceedings get started at 5:30 and finish at 8pm.

Here is a sample of the menu

• Mini insalata caprese (mozzarella, tomato & basil) in bamboo boats
• Mini arancini (fried risotto balls)
• Fritatta con cipolle (Italian omelette with onions)
  
• Spanakopita (Greek pastry with spinach and feta)
  
• Tigelle con Prosciutto (a type of flat panino with Parma ham)
  
• Zucchine e Tonno (Cinzia’s famous courgette and tuna antipasto mix)
  
• Polenta e Fontina
  
• Mini polpette allo zafferano con Fregola (saffron meatballs with Sardinian giant couscous)
  
• Croustades con cipolla rossa (pastry cups with red onion relish)
  
• Zucchine alla griglia con menta e feta (grilled courgettes with feta and mint)
  
• Bruschette con pomodori secchi, oregano e mozzarella (Bruschette with sun dried tomatoes, oregano and mozzarella)
  
• Crostini con cannellini (Cannellini bean crostino)
